First, we had the chance to table on opening day of the Forum, which was probably the best time to table as the Forum visitors wished to engage themselves immediately in peacemaking efforts and the tables were right behind the Registration station! Along with meeting with curious attendees and alumni curious of our Luther-grown initiative, we also met two students from Drake University manning the ONE Campaign table next door. After speaking to them about our project, we were pleased to see they were interested in implementing our campaign at Drake University! We exchanged contact details and we'll be in talks about helping Drake instate a version of our fundraising campaign at their campus. In addition to Drake University, there are also students at an Argentinian University who are interested in establishing a similar chapter. Our Human Resources director Will Montoya knows a number of students there, and we will develop a kit for both sets of students to follow and easily establish I-ImpactNow chapters.
The presentation itself was a blast. It really helped the team harness our speaking skills in preparation for the Clinton Global Initiative University Conference in San Diego this coming April 1-3. It also forced to review at everything we've done for I-ImpactNow and really understand how far we've come since the beginning of it all! In any case, here's some pictures from the Peace Prize Forum, not necessarily related to our mission, but fun viewing material anyways!
